HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER

1. We're sorry, but we do not accept orders over the phone, or on Facebook.  We only accept orders via our online ordering form to ensure accountability and accuracy.  

2. Once the details of your order are finalized and you accept the price quote, you will receive an invoice containing your order confirmation number, price and payment instructions. Orders are processed during business hours only.

3. Orders are processed according to the information provided on the order form.

4. Reservations are not confirmed until we receive at least a 50% deposit on your orderStoring Fine Chocolate
Our confections will maintain their quality for up to two weeks when kept in a cool, dry environment. You may refrigerate them in an air-tight container for up to four weeks.

Enjoying Your Purchase
To fully enjoy the aroma, flavor, and texture of fine chocolate, allow it to come to room temperature before serving.

Standard & Overnight

We ship via the US Postal Service and offer Standard (Priority) and Overnight shipping. To ensure that product quality is not jeopardized by improper storage conditions of the carrier, we do not ship over weekends.

Overnight delivery requires an acceptance signature. Standard (Priority) delivery does not require a signature and, therefore, we can only provide confirmation of delivery date and time.

Shipments to warmer climates or during warmer months require chilled packaging and overnight delivery. Applicable overnight shipping charges apply, but there is no additional charge for the chilled packaging. We will only guarantee the condition of your purchase when shipping overnight. If you choose Standard (Priority) shipping, we cannot guarantee the condition of the product.

When sending a gift, please inform the recipient to expect the delivery, as we are not responsible for packages left unattended, or circumstances outside our control at the destination.

International Shipping
International shipping is also via the US Postal Service. Barring customs delays, most packages arrive within five days. We are unable to guarantee delivery or provide an exact timeframe for delivery.

Refund Policy
Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. Exceptions can be made if the product arrives damaged due to packaging mistakes made before shipping. .

 

Payment Process

NOTE: We do not charge for products & ingredients.  The cost that you pay covers the time and attention to detail put into each order.

We accept US dollars.  You can also make payment by credit  or debit card via PayPal.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS, PAYMENT ON DELIVERY OR I.O.Us.

**We only accept checks from approved private organizations and military commands.

 

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PAID IN FULL IN ADVANCE!  ORDERS MUST BE PAID IN FULL NO LATER THAN THE DATED LISTED ON YOUR INVOICE OR EMAIL QUOTE. Failure to do so will result in your order being cancelled.

 

Credit Card or PayPal Payment

You can make your deposit payment or payment in full using secure Paypal on our website.  You do not need to establish a Paypal account to make a payment 

 

Deposits, Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION FOR ALL ORDERS $60 OR MORE.   The remainder is due at least 1 week prior to delivery date (unless otherwise stated on your invoice).  Orders placed less than 1 week prior to your delivery date must be paid in full at time of reservation.

 

All notifications of any changes regarding your order and/or delivery date MUST be made via email.  If you notify us that your event is canceled or postponed at least 7 business days (20 business days for wedding cakes) prior to your delivery date, your deposit and all other payments made will be transferable to an available delivery date within 30 days from date of notification. If you notify us less than 7 business (20 business days for wedding cakes) prior to your delivery date, your deposit and all other payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

*Refunds do not include special order materials (i.e, wedding cake columns and stairs, special order cake toppers, special cake ornaments or special items for your order which must be ordered from our suppliers).  

 

If for any reason, Marcia's Confections is unable to fulfill your order due to reason's beyond our control (natural disasters, power outages or worker illness), your deposit and all payments made will be refunded in full.  This does not apply if you request to transfer or postpone to a date that we are closed for business or otherwise on a date for which you wish to reschedule.

***Please note that our calendar fills up fast!  Some of our clients reserve dates as early as one month in advance. RESERVATION DATES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY!

 

Decorated Party Cakes

up to 50 servings - 7 business days notice

51-100 servings - 10 business days notice

101 servings or more -14 business days notice

 

Dessert Cakes (not decorated party cakes)  ~  4 business days

 

Wedding Cakes  ~  6 weeks notice 50 % deposit due at time of reservation. (Remaining balance must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to delivery)

 

 

 

Dessert Cookies

3 business days notice (up to 6 dozen)

5 business days notice (6 dozen or more)

 

Rush Fee

Orders submitted after the required time frame will be charged a 20% rush fee.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Please plan accordingly!

 

Colors, Fondant & Ingredients

We cannot guarantee a 100% color match, but will try our best to match if a color swatch is provided. If you do not provide a sample color, we will tint the buttercream or fondant to the best of our judgement.~ We use a high quality brand fondant (Satin Ice fondant as seen on Cake Boss) for our cakes. If you have tried bad tasting fondant in the past, you will find a big difference in the fondant we use. The majority of our cakes are covered in a layer of fondant, with a layer of buttercream underneath. We prefer to decorate our cakes with fondant because of the satin finish it gives and the support it provides our sculpted cakes. Fondant will also help to keep your cake moist.~ We use fresh ingredients and we bake from scratch. Ingredients include flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, fruits and nuts. Preservatives are not used in our products.

 

~ At this time we do not offer gluten free, dairy free or sugar free products and are not a certified Kosher establishment.

Some of our products may contain nuts.  Our desserts are processed in a kitchen where nuts are used.  Those with nut allergies should not consume our products.

As preservatives are not used in our products, please keep in mind that cupcakes and cakes are best served the day or the day after your order is delivered and will keep fresh for about 3 to 5 days afterwards if stored properly even longer if frozen.

 

Delivery, Transportation & Storage

Delivery ~ If you'd like to have your order delivered outside of our business hours, there is a $10 convenience fee.~Pick up at our bakery is available. Delivery on JBAB and Andrews is free!

Although we do our very best to deliver before the time requested, we only have one delivery driver. Please allow a 1 hour window for all delivery times. Deliveries requiring on-site assembly will be charged a small additional fee.

Transportation ~  All cakes and cupcakes should be transported on a flat surface in your vehicle. We do not recommend transporting your cakes or cupcakes in a person's lap or on the seat of your car.  We do not recommend transporting your cakes or cupcakes in the trunk of your vehicle due to lack of air conditioning.  We will not be liable for any damages done to your cake once it is delivered to you.  However, feel free to call us to see if there is anything we can do to help as we may be able to offer some assistance.  

Storage ~  Once at your destination, refrigerate your cake or cupcakes if not being served right away.  If you are serving it the same day, most cakes can be left at room temperature.  On hot days, cakes and cupcakes should be kept cool as our buttercream will melt!  As preservatives are not used in our products, please keep in mind that cupcakes and cakes are best served the day or the day after you pick up your order and will keep fresh for about 3 to 5 days afterwards if stored properly even longer if frozen.

Rental Fees  ~  Some of our cakes require special cake boards and/or assembly pieces.  These items require a rental fee which will be returned to you in full once you have returned the items to us cleaned and in the same physical condition in which it was delivered to you. *1/2 sheet cake board rental is $20 **Full sheet cake board rental is $40.  Please inquire about our other item rental fees.  

 

Other

Marcia's Confections designers reserve the right to make any last minute adjustments to cake as needed.
